She has achieved “icon” status among Hollywood's elite and her Beverly Hills salon is a virtual temple to the perfectly arched eyebrow. Anastasia has built a reputation over the past several years as a top beauty maven by working magic on the brows of a large and loyal celebrity clientele - including Jennifer Lopez, Renee Zellweger, Debra Messing, Oprah Winfrey, Helen Hunt, Kim Cattrall, Reese Witherspoon, Julianna Margulies, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Kate Capshaw, Rita Wilson, Jada Pinkett Smith, Lauren Holly, Christine Lahti, Lucy Liu, Portia De Rossi, Lara Flynn Boyle, Chloe Sevigny, Melissa Etheridge, Debi Mazar, Elle MacPherson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Garcelle Beauvais, Kirstie Alley, Lisa Marie Presley, Penelope Cruz and Sharon Stone. Anastasia Soare grew up in Constanta, Romania on the banks of the Black Sea where her mother Victoria Babu owned a tailor shop. The influence of her mother's sense of style and esthetic led to her interest in drawing and design. This inherited talent was further enhanced by her attendance at the Romania College of Architecture where her
skills would ultimately lead her into a career in beauty.
After her studies in architecture, she took a four year sabbatical to spend time with her husband and newborn daughter. At this juncture, she was focused on a new career choice, began her studies at cosmetology school and started working as a beautician. It was at this point, fueled by a desire for a better life, that Anastasia's husband Victor defected to the United States, thereby setting the stage two years later for Anastasia and her daughter Claudia to join him. Within six months, Anastasia found a job as an esthetician doing facials and body waxing at a small salon on Melrose Place.
In the very short time span of only two years, she was ready to strike out on her own at a rented space with the Juan Juan Beauty Center in Beverly Hills. With her reputation now preceding her, and her clientele growing just as quickly, it was time to find even larger quarters and hire the requisite staff.
Demand started to outstrip supply and there were soon women lined up waiting at her door hoping to benefit from her skills and relax in her charming manner. This demand turned into fourteen-hour workdays six days a week.
At times, on the seventh day she would make special house calls to some of her star clientele who always inevitably remarked how polished they looked and how rested they felt after her visit. Anastasia started to refer to it as “an instant facelift,” and so did her clients.
Anastasia has now come full circle and recently introduced her new cosmetic line, Anastasia Beverly Hills, which encompasses a full array of color products including an extensive palette for the eyes. A full range of lip liners, lipsticks, foundations, powders and brow products completes the collection.
